Youth Restyle is a youth community centre. It is located at Jalan Satu, Kajang. Youth Restyle centre is a place dedicated for teens to fill up their time especially during the school holidays & for youth at mid-twenties to fill up their time during the daytime. After gathering the issues around the site, from present to foreseeable issues. The program is design in a long run activity, concluding into 2 main activities here, the culinary course and the workshop.

The concept of this youth centre is from the previous ideation from the elements around the site. The elements are such as edgy, in & out, curves, repetition, and hierarchy. Then taking these elements and transform to a concept. The application of concept into the building can be seen from the building layout, interior fit & finishes. The prominent concept being applied to the space is fusion of hierarchy and curves. Whereas the remaining 3 elements are visible on the interior fit and finishes. For instance, the edgy concept has brought to the social area acting as a pergola.

 

Youth Restyle is spread on a single floor, separating the spaces into 8 main areas including a lobby, temporary exhibition area, a workshop classroom, a culinary classroom, a classroom, an entertainment room, accommodation and social area. Some areas have applied with green and innovative design to achieve sustainable living. It includes cross ventilation design, usage of natural lighting, implementation of infrared light sensors and providing landscape to enhance the user experience in the youth centre.
